Communication of Results

An increase in public awareness about demographic change is noticeable. However, there is only little knowledge about concrete approaches to workforce ageing. Many companies exhibit a need for mitigation and adaptation strategies, but also – particularly in SMEs – a lack of strategic capacity and solution-finding.

The promotion of concrete examples for practical application of age management, its merits and success factors of interventions from the LAMPs thus will provide incentives for other companies and public organisations to implement similar approach themselves. The relative heterogeneity of the "Lighthouse" companies and public organisations in terms of staff size, branches, public/private status, national legislation etc. will be helpful in making the intervention approach transferable, as the latter will result in a wide array of examples with different preconditions and settings.

The communication activities thus take place at two different levels: Dissemination activities at the LAMP level lie within the responsibility of the Facilitating Partners and include:

  • information of the Lighthouse Organisation staff about the intervention, its objectives and results,
  • regional dissemination seminars for local and regional target groups such as public and private employers, trade union representatives, labour market stakeholders and relevant political decision makers and public servants,
  • a summary of LAMP results (case study), based on the evaluation results, for all interested stakeholders.

At the project level, the Partnership and Project Management have the task to promote the overall and comparative evaluation results to relevant stakeholders in politics and public administration, business and scientific circles and relevant EU bodies in order to demonstrate the economic benefits of age management and engage them in a debate on integration of age management in national policies. This is done by publishing evaluation reports, brochures and leaflets and by presenting the project at conferences and exhibitions.
